Under this program, major startups and SMEs will receive finance that ranges from €300,000 to €500,000. This is a great amount that supports the startups and their transition from Technology Readiness Level (TRL) 4 to TRL 6-7.
The Journey from TRL 4 to Market
The Ukrainian startups and SMEs under this program can evolve from a TRL 4 to TRL 6-7, which means that it is set to turn prototypes into real-world solutions to thrive better in the commercial markets. The early-stage startups and SMEs that have been selected under this program can build and function prototypes, conduct different pilot programs, and even demonstrate usability in real conditions.
This initiative of the EU can help bridge the gap of death that many startups face nowadays due to the lack of resources and finances. Later, it was revealed that this initiative required some growth and should be targeting some more early-stage startups and SMEs as well.
